Rainfall may dampen Dussehra celebration in these Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: Rainfall may play spoilsport in Dussehra celebration in several districts of Odisha today.

As per the Regional Meteorological Centre here, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Balasore and Bhadrak today.

The rainfall activity may also affect Rabana Podi events at various places in the districts.

On the other hand, the low pressure area over westcentral Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast now lies over westcentral Bay of Bengal & adjoining Andhra Pradesh with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its morning bulletin today.
