Rain/thundershowers would continue over most parts of Odisha and certain interior parts of the state may experience heavy rainfall during the next 24 hours, the local Met Centre said in its afternoon bulletin today.

The bulletin informed that yesterday’s low pressure area over central parts of south Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Vidarbha has shifted to northwest Madhya Pradesh and its neighbourhood today and another low pressure area has also formed today over Saurashtra and Kutch and adjoining northeast Arabian Sea.

Since gusty surface wind speed reaching 45 to 50 kmph, gusting to 60 kmph, may prevail along and off Odisha Coast, the Met Centre has advised fishermen not to venture into sea.
