Raja gift! Odisha Govt hikes DA by 4% for employees

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government today increased Dearness Allowance (DA) by 4 percent for its employees and pensioners with effect from January 1, 2023.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced it a day before the auspicious 3-day Raja festival in Odisha.

As per a release from the CMO, the DA for government employees and pensioners was increased to 42 percent from the existing 38 percent.

This will benefit around 7.50 lakh employees and pensioners in Odisha.

The increased DA will be added to salaries for the month of June this year. The pensioners will also receive the revised rate in their pension for the month of June.

On March 24, this year, the Centre had hiked the DA for its staffers and pensioners by 4% to 42 per cent from the existing 38 per cent with effect from January 2023.
