The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) has appointed Rajendra Prasad Singh as the coach of the state’s senior men’s football team for the East Zone round of the 68th edition of National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy beginning fromJanuary 26 at Paljor stadium in Sikkim.

Singh, who is presently employed with State Bank of India (SBI), has represented the state senior national team represented many top football clubs of India.
FAO has also appointed Akshya Das, international football player from Odisha and an AFC “B” license holder football coach, as the assistant coach.
Das is currently working as the football coach in the SAI Centre at the Sunabeda-based Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Koraput.
Gopabandhu Sahoo, who has the distinction of playing for a number of reputed clubs, has been appointed as the goalkeeper's coach.
Sahoo is currently working in the office of Postal Audit.
