Raju Srivastava in ‘brain dead’ condition, manager issues statement

Bhubaneswar/Delhi:  Amidst reports of comedian Raju Srivastava’s conditions turning critical, his manager has issued a statement regarding his health.

Raju’s manager Maqbool told media that about 16 hours back, doctors treating the comedian at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) had informed about his condition getting critical. They are currently working on his treatment.

Rubbishing reports of Raju being brain dead, Maqbool told media that there was nothing as such and he is unconscious. He had swelling in his brain nerves after some injections and due to the medications, he was unable to respond.  However, the doctors are treating it.

Elsewhere, Raju’s wife Shikha Srivastava, in her address to media, said that the comedy star’s health was stable. Doctors treating him were doing their job diligently and the entire management was working hard day and night to make sure he recovered soon.

“We are getting wishes, blessings and a lot of people are praying and doing puja for his health and everyone’s vibration is very positive. I know the prayers are not going to go unanswered. I just want to urge everyone to continue praying for his health,” she was quoted by ETimes.

Worth mentioning here, Raju Srivastava had suffered a heart attack while working out in a gym on August 10. He was immediately rushed to AIIMS in Delhi where he underwent angioplasty. He has been on ventilator since then.
