Rama Chandra Kadam appointed as leader of Congress Legislative Party in Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar: The Congress today appointed Pottangi MLA Rama Chandra Kadam as the leader of its Legislative Party in the Odisha Assembly.

The party also appointed Basudevpur MLA Ashok Das and Rajgangpur MLA CS Raazen Ekka as Deputy Leader and Chief Whip of the Congress Legislative Party, respectively.

Worth mentioning, Congress bettered its poll performance by winning 14 seats in the 2024 Odisha Assembly Elections as the party had won 9 seats in 2019 elections.

Kadam had registered victory in Pottangi constituency by defeating BJD's Prafulla Kumar Pangi with a margin of 1919 votes.

Similarly, Das defeated BJD's Bishnubrata Routray in Basudevpur constituency by a margin of 631 votes to emerge victorious.

Likewise, Ekka secured Rajgangpur constituency by defeating BJD's Anil Barwa with a margin of 10184 votes.
