Rituals: Rama Navami begins with offering prayer to the Sun. Devotees celebrate the day by singing devotional songs, listening recitations from religious books and chanting of Vedic hymns.
They also keep a fast on this day. At the end of the day, devotees break the fast after having fruits and sweets.
Chariot procession is also a part of Ram Navami festival. Devotees place the idols of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman in a decorated chariot and carry out a procession.
