Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Apr 15:

Reacting to Chhattisgarh counterpart Raman Singh’s statement on Mahanadi water dispute, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik termed it incorrect.

“The statement of Raman Singh on Mahanadi issue is not correct. Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti had convened a meeting in Delhi to resolve the issue. However, Raman Singh did not cooperate”, told Patnaik to media persons here today.

The CM made it clear that he will not meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to visit Odisha today to attend BJP’s two-day national executive meeting.

“I may not meet PM Modi during the period when he is visiting Odisha for his party programme”, Patnaik said.

“Neither am I worried or disturbed for BJP’s national executive meeting”, he added.

Raman Singh after arriving in Bhubaneswar to attend party’s national executive meeting told media persons that Mahanadi water dispute is not an issue.

He said that he was ready to discuss the issue with Naveen Patnaik to resolve the matter.
