Bhubaneswar: Demanding stern action against those who ransacked official residence of senior IAS officer V K Pandian, a delegation of IAS, IPS and OAS associations today meet Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at State Secretariat.
The IAS association yesterday called an emergency meeting where they decided to meet the CM, Chief Secretary and Home Secretary in this regard.
Naveen, sources said, assured the bureaucrats of taking strong action against the lawbreakers. “Associations from all over the State have given petitions regarding the unfortunate incident. Appropriate action will be taken,” Patnaik said.
The CM, soon after the incident on Saturday, had already condemned the act saying it’s “shocking”.
Besides, civil society members and former bureaucrats too slammed the act and demanded exemplary action against those who are involved in such hooliganisms.
Notably, around 20 persons, on Saturday, waving BJP flags parked their bikes, forced open the main gate, allegedly damaged flower pots and hurled cow dung at the bureaucrat’s house at VIR 7 in Unit VI area in the city.
