Bhubaneswar: A student of the National Law University (NLU) in New Delhi named Ritesh Patnaik achieved a rare success on Saturday by pursuing his passion for the legal profession, Ritesh's family informed today.

In the 10th Convocation ceremony of the varsity held on August 26, Ritesh won the status of the best law student and brought laurels to Odisha with four Gold Medals in various categories. He has been adjudged as the best student of the year – 2023 for his all-round excellent performance and was conferred the Justice YK Sabarwal Award as the best student for the 2018-23 Batch.

Ritesh received Gold Medals for various disciplines such as Taxation Law, International Trade Law, Evidence Law, and Banking Law. He, as a law student, was felicitated by Supreme Court Justice S Ravindra Bhatt along with Chief Justice of Delhi High Court Satish Chandra Sharma, Education Minister of Delhi Government Ms. Atisi Singh, and Law Minister Kailash Gehlot. He was presented with certificates and gold medals.

Ritesh is the son of Chandiprasad Patnaik and Minerva Mahanty of CDA, Cuttack.
