Ratha Jatra 2022: OTDC launches special tour package; see prices, other important details

Bhubaneswar: In order to ensure smooth darshan of deities during the world famous Ratha Jatra, the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has launched a special tour package for devotees from Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar and Puri.

Large number of devotees is expected to visit the pilgrim city to witness the Ratha Jatra. As the Covid pandemic has subsided, devotees will be allowed to participate in the annual Ratha Jatra which could not be held for last two years, the OTDC said in a statement.

The OTDC further informed devotees from Sambalpur can board a Volvo bus of the tourism corporation from Sambalpur Panthanivas at 9 pm on June 30. They will reach Bhubaneswar Panthanivas the next day and have breakfast there.

The devotees will board another Volvo bus at Bhubaneswar Panthanivas and reach Puri to witness the Ratha Jatra on July 1.

The same day they will leave Puri in a special bus for Bhubaneswar Panthanivas. Those who want to go to Samblpur will depart at 10 pm.

The OTDC’s tour package for Ratha Jatra has differential prices. Those who will leave from Sambalpur Panthanivas, Bhubaneswar Panthanivas and Puri Panthanivas will have to pay Rs 8,300, Rs 5,800 and Rs 5,000 per person respectively.

As per OTDC, tea, breakfast and lunch will be provided to the persons availing the special tour packages.
