Ratha Jatra: ‘Agyanmala’ to be brought to three chariots tomorrow

Puri: While the intervention applications were filed in the Supreme Court against the court’s stay on Ratha Jatra in Puri, the Sri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee today said ‘Agyanmala’ will be brought to the three chariots as per the rituals tomorrow.

After ‘Sakala Dhoopa’ the ‘Agyanmala’ will be taken to the three chariots.

The temple managing committee members said if the Ratha Jatra is not held after the ‘Agyanmala’, there will be disruptions in all the rituals of the deities.

Assuring its cooperation, Chhatisa Nijog said the State government should make all efforts for the conduct of the annual Ratha Jatra. If possible, the State government could bring an ordinance to conduct the annual fete, a servitor said.
