RD Women’s University reports 1st COVID-19 case

Bhubaneswar:  Amidst the spike in COVID-19 cases across the Odisha, the virus has spread to another university in the state after Ravenshaw.

Reportedly, a woman lecturer of the Rama Devi Women’s University here has tested positive for the virus. She has kept under isolation.

Meanwhile, the entire administrative building of the varsity has been sanitized to prevent spread of the virus in the campus. Besides, COVID-19 test of students and staff of the premier educational institution who have come in contact with her recently will be conducted tomorrow, sources said.

It is pertinent to mention here students and staff of several colleges and coaching centres in the state capital, including  XIMB, IIT Bhubaneswar and Allen Coaching Institute, have contracted the virus recently.
