Record 2,129 COVID-19 patients discharged in a day in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The number of people recuperated from COVID-19 in Odisha reached 54,405 today when a record 2,129 patients were discharged from hospitals.

A maximum of 276 from Khordha district recovered from the virus infection followed by 265 recovered cases were reported from Ganjam, 178 from Sundargarh, 172 from Cuttack, 153 from Koraput and 144 from Bhadrak districts, according to the data released by the Health and Family Welfare department.

A total of 130 from Nayagarh, 122 from Kandhamal, 90 from Balasore, 84 from Puri, 80 from Malkangiri and 68 each from Sambalpur and Rayagada districts recuperated from the disease.

As many as 56 from Mayurbhanj, 50 from Gajapati, 27 from Jagatsinghpur, 24 from Jajpur, 23 each from Dhenkanal and Keonjhar, 19 from Kalahandi, 18 from Angul and 16 from Kendrapara, 14 from Balangir, 13 from Jharsuguda, nine from Nabarangpur, six from Boudh and one from Sonepur districts recovered.
