Bhubaneswar: A record 6,647 new COVID-19 cases were registered in a single day across Odisha, with 1,189 of them in Khordha district, informed the State Information & Public Relation (I&PR) Department today.
Of new positive cases in all 30 districts, 3855 are reported from different quarantines and 2792 are local contacts.
Khordha district continues report the highest cases in the State. While 1,189 new infections were reported in the district in the last 24 hours followed by Sundargarh district with 788, Nuapada district with 559, Puri district clocked 395 new positive cases in a single day.

With this, the total caseload crossed 4 lakh-mark in the State. The total number of COVID cases stood at 4,01,341. The active cases reached 43,304 so far in the State.
