Record number of COVID-19 patients recovers in Odisha for second straight day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha today recorded the highest ever single-day recoveries of 2,519 COVID-19 patients. This is the second day in a row that the State reported record number of recoveries.
The total recovered cases of the State now stand at 56,924.

The maximum number of 428 patients from Khordha district recuperated from the disease followed by 276 from Balasore, 237 from Ganjam, 152 from Cuttack, 144 from Rayagada, 140 from Bhadrak and 138 from Sundargarh.

As many as 98 from Koraput, 97 from Puri, 96 from Nayagarh, 85 from Balangir, 61 from Dhenkanal, 60 from Kandhamal, 59 from Sambalpur, 58 from Jajpur and 54 from Mayurbhanj district recovered in the last 24 hours.

A total of 53 each from Bargarh and Jagatsinghpur, 52 from Malkangiri, 42 from Gajapati, 31 from Nabarangpur, 23 from Kalahandi, 22 from Kendrapada, 19 each from Deogarh and Keonjhar, 18 from Jharsuguda, three from Angul and one from Boudh recovered.

Yesterday, as many as 2,129 COVID-19 patients recovered from the virus infection in the State.
