Bhubaneswar: The woman, whose headless body was recovered from roadside near Dasapur on Bharatpur-Chandaka road here recently, was strangled before she was beheaded by the miscreants, police said today.

After first post-mortem report of the body arrived from Capital Hospital today, police informed that the woman was beheaded with a sharp weapon after being strangled to death. However, the body has again been sent to AIIMS here for re-autopsy to get detailed information, the cops added.

On February 4, the woman's body with a severed head was found on roadside near Dasapur on Bharatpur-Chandaka road here. On reaching, police had seized a knife and a pair of gloves from the crime scene.
