Remuneration of contractual medical faculty hiked in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The state government has hiked the consolidated remuneration of contractual teachers of government medical college and hospitals in Odisha.

As per a notification issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, contractual professors of government medical college and hospitals will get Rs 2,30,000 as revised remuneration with 5 per cent hike per annum against the existing remuneration of Rs 1,25,000 with 3 per cent hike per annum.

Similarly, the contractual associate professors of government medical college and hospitals will receive Rs 2,00,000 as revised remuneration with 5 per cent hike per annum against the existing remuneration of Rs 1,00,000 with 3 per cent hike per annum, said the notification.

Contractual assistant professors of government medical college and hospitals will get Rs 1,20,000 as revised remuneration with 5 per cent hike per annum against the existing remuneration of Rs 75,000 with 3 per cent hike per annum, it added.

“After careful consideration, the state government is pleased to enhance the consolidated remuneration of the teachers engaged in government medical college and hospitals on the contractual basis with immediate effect. The contractual teachers will be engaged as per the resolution no. 8967 of the Health and Family Welfare department on April 25, 2022,” said the notification.
