Respite in sight! Rain to lash parts of over 20 Odisha districts for next 5 days

Bhubaneswar: People of Odisha may heave a sigh of relief as thunderstorm along with lightning is likely to lash several parts of as many as 20 districts across the state over the next four to five days.

The Regional MeT Centre issued Yellow Warning for districts, including Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Balasore, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore,

In the latest bulletin, the weathermen said, “Conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of north Arabian sea, some more parts of Gujarat state, some parts of south Madhya Pradesh, entire Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, some parts of Vidarbha and Telangana, some more parts of Andhra Pradesh,
westcentral and northwest Bay of Bengal, some parts of Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, entire Sub Himalayan West Bengal and some more parts of Bihar during subsequent two to three days.”

Till 8.30 am of June 15 ( Yellow warning)

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada and Cuttack.

From 8.30 am of June 15 to 8.30 am of June 16 ( Yellow warning)

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur.

From 8.30 am of June 16 to 8.30 am of June 17 ( Yellow warning)

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Kandhamal, Balasore, Bhadrak.

From 8.30 am of June 17 to 8.30 am of June 18 ( Yellow warning)

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal and Rayagada.

From 8.30 am of June 18 to 8.30 am of June 19 ( Yellow warning)

Thunderstorm along with lightning is very likely to to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda,
Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur.

The MeT Centre further predicted that there would be no large change in the maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 24 hours. The temperature will  gradually fall by three to four degree Celsius in subsequent four days over the districts of Odisha. The maximum temperature is likely to remain above the normal by three to four degree Celsius at a few places over the districts during the next 24 hours.
