Restaurants, bars allowed to reopen in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Centre for opening up of more activities across the country, the Odisha government today allowed restaurants and bars to resume their businesses.

In a letter to restaurant and bar associations, the Tourism Department said the restaurants and bars will have to adhere strictly to the guidelines or SOPs on preventive measures issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

However, in case an area is declared as a containment zone, the concerned local authorities will take a decision on the operations of restaurants and bars until the containment is lifted.

On August 31, the Odisha government issued a detailed guideline on Unlock-4 two days after the Centre issued guidelines for the States.
