Result of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test-2017 announced

Cuttack: The result of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)-2017 conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) was published on its official website today.

The candidates can access the results on www.bseodisha.ac.in and www.indiaresults.com.

Apart from publication of list of successful candidates, the Board has also released the OMR answer sheet and final answer keys.

As per sources, the overall pass percentage has been a meager 24 per cent this year. As many as 55, 154 students had filled up forms to appear in Paper I. However, 5, 253 students did not appear the test. In the low scoring test, only 13, 606 students have cleared the paper taking the pass percentage to 24.67 per cent in the paper.

Similarly, 39, 701 students had filled up Paper II. Of them, 4, 481 skipped the test and 9, 717 cleared the exam. The pass percentage in this paper has been recorded at 24.48.

“The final scoring key and OMR answer sheet is available on the website for seven days. Candidates can download the same after keying in necessary details,” Controller of Examination of BSE, Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said.

Notably, the examination for recruitment of teachers was conducted on September 25 and the answer key was released on October 7.

The successful candidates will be eligible to teach students from Class I-VIII in various State Government and private aided schools in the state.
