Retd Food Inspector dies inside Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: A retired Food Inspector died while taking rest under Kalpabata, an old banyan tree on the premises of Sri Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri today.

The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar Das (75) of Nayagarh.

According to reports, Das came to the pilgrim town along with his family members this morning to have darshan of the deities. During afternoon, he complained of uneasiness due to heat wave and sat under the tree to have rest.

He later fell unconscious and was rushed to the Puri district headquarters hospital, where doctor declared him brought dead.
