Returned from Kerala, 11 labourers from Odisha to stay in home quarantine

Rayagada: The district administration today rescued 11 migrant labourers and asked them to stay in home quarantine in view of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

As per reports, the 11 migrant labourers, residents of Kolnara block, reached the Rayagada railway station from Thrissur of Kerala by train today morning. Due to the ‘Janata Curfew’ and lockdown across the State, there was no vehicular movement in Rayagada town due to which the labourers were unable to reach their villages. While aimlessly roaming around the town, the labourers were spotted by the local administration.

Tahsildar Uma Shankar Behera and other officials from the local administration rescued the labourers and informed the Health department.

During medical examination, the labourers were found to be fit and healthy. The administration then directed the labourers to go for home quarantine and inform the local health worker in case they feel any uneasiness.
