Koraput: The Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) of Balda Revenue Circle under Nandapur Tehsil in Koraput district was caught red-handed by the Vigilance officials while accepting bribe today.

Reportedly, Badla ARI, Kailash Chandra Biswal had demanded Rs 2500 from complainant Damabarudhar Hantala for releasing the land demarcation report to him. With no option left Hantala bought the matter to notice of Vigilance officials.

Acting on the complaint, the anti-corruption wing laid a trap and caught Biswal red-handed while accepting the bribe. The officials also seized the money from his possession.
