RI caught taking bribe in Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A Revenue Inspector (RI) has been arrested by Vigilance in Odisha’s Nayagarh district for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 10,000.

The accused has been identified as Namita Pradhan, RI, Adakata.

According to reports, the official had demanded the amount from one Gokula Sahu of Dhuamada village in the district for providing the latter an enquiry report of his land.

Sahu lodged a complaint in this regard with Vigilance, following which officials of Nayagarh Division of the anti-corruption agency laid a trap and caught the RI red-handed when she was receiving the money from the complainant.
