Robbery gang nabbed in Odisha capital

Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Twin City Commissionerate police today nabbed a four-member dacoit gang from Mancheswar Industrial Estate area of Odisha capital.

Those arrested are Sk. Somin (36), Vijay Minz (28), Huidi Ansari (40) and Mir Muzzafar Hussain, police sources said.

Police have seized a pistol, a mobile phone, one cartridge and sharp iron rod from their possession, the sources added.

Acting on a tip-off, the QAT nabbed the gang while it was planning to loot Rs 60 lakh from an industrial unit in the industrial area, the sources revealed.

The gang had put up at a lodging in Cuttack since the last seven days, the sources added.
