Rod penetrates man’s eye in Odisha’s Boudh as he falls into uncovered drain

Boudh: A man sustained critical injuries as an iron rod pierced one of his eyes after he fell into an uncovered drain at Dhalapur under Harabhanga police limits in Odisha’s Boudh district, today.

As per reports, the victim was travelling on a bicycle, during which a truck overtook him closely. He lost control over the bicycle and fell into the drain.

Unfortunately, an iron road pierced the eye of the cyclist, leaving him grievously injured.

Locals rescued the victim and rushed him to Dhalapur Hospital.

On the other hand, tension ran high in the area after the mishap as irate locals blamed the Works Department for open drains in the locality and demanded compensation for the victim.
