Ropeway on the cards at three tourist destinations in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The tourists can enjoy adventurous ropeway ride as the service is on the cards at three major tourist destinations in Odisha.

The ropeway will be built at Dhauli, Khandadhar and Barunei hills to attract tourists, informed Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda here.

There will be five to six star hotels in the State to fill up hotel infrastructure lacuna, which is the major obstruction in development of Odisha Tourism, he said.

As the tourism is an important part of the State, the government has invested Rs 400 crore in four years towards development in this sector, the Minister said while inaugurating Business to Business (B2B) meeting on second day of Odisha Travel Bazaar held at Swosti Premium yesterday.

Panda also said that the discussion is underway for direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Colombo in the upcoming days.
