Rourkela-Bhubaneswar flight service cancelled for 3rd consecutive day

Bhubaneswar: Frequent cancellation of flight service between Rourkela and Bhubaneswar has caused resentment among the passengers.

The flight service between Rourkela and Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Odisha capital remained cancelled for the third consecutive day on Sunday. There was also no clarity regarding the resumption of flight service on the route on Monday (July 10), sources said.

According to sources, at least 32 passengers had booked tickets for travelling from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar on Sunday (July 9). However, the authorities cancelled the flight service causing much resentment among the passengers.

Similarly, at least 30 and 22 passengers had booked their tickets for travelling to Bhubaneswar from Rourkela on July 7 and July 8 respectively. However, the flight service was cancelled due to some unknown reasons, sources added.
