Rs 10 lakh demonetized notes seized from C’garh youths in Odisha

Odisha police today nabbed two youths who had come to Kantabanji for exchanging demonetized currency notes worth lakhs.

According to reports, police in Lathore in Bolangir district on suspicion detained a numberless car in which two youths were travelling.

Reports said the police have seized currency notes of Rs 10 lakh and a car from their possession.

Both of them hail from Mahasamund in the neighbouring state of Chhattisgarh, reports added.

Police have handed them over to the Income Tax department.

The department is learnt to be grilling them on the source of the money and why they had come here all the way from Chhattisgarh to exchange currency notes here.
