Rs 6 lakh looted at gunpoint in Odisha’s Khurda

Jatni: In a broad daylight robbery, two bike borne miscreants looted Rs 6 lakh from a businessman at gunpoint near Jatni railway station today afternoon. Based on a complaint filed by the businessman, Goutam Patnaik, the Jatni police began a probe.

As per the complaint, Goutam was returning home from a bank after withdrawing Rs 6 lakh. Two miscreants riding a motorcycle intercepted Gotam’s vehicle and pointed a gun towards him. They issued life threats to the businessman and snatched a bag containing Rs 6 lakh from him before fleeing the spot.

Following the incident, Goutam lodged a complaint at Jatni police station. Police have launched a manhunt to nab the looters. Besides, the cops have been examining footages from CCTVs installed near the spot.
