In a broad daylight heist, unidentified bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 6 lakh from a beer parlour staff at Hanuman Chhak in Odisha's Keonjhar district today afternoon.

According to sources, the victim was intercepted by two bike-borne miscreants when he was on his way to bank on a motorcycle to deposit the money. The duo threatened him at gun point, thrashed him mercilessly and snatched away the bag containing Rs 6 lakh. The miscreants fled the spot soon after committing the crime.

On being informed about the incident, police reached the spot and started investigating into the incident. A manhunt has been launched to identify and nab the robbers, sources said.
