Bhubaneswar: City airport authorities have seized Rs 75 lakh in cash from two passengers in a day.

As per reports, the cash was seized from trolley bags of the passengers.

While one of them arrived from Delhi, another passenger reached the airport from Chennai.

The presence of cash inside the bags came to fore during luggage screening at the airport.

The Income Tax Department was conducting a probe to ascertain the source of the money, which has been seized by the agency. The cash reportedly belongs to a reputed businessman.

Seizure of huge amount of cash ahead of elections in the state has raised suspicion.
