Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 8 lakh from a petrol pump staff at Balaramprasad in Odisha's Dhenkanal district, today.

According to reports, Pratap Prusty, a staff of Nilamadhab petrol pump, was intercepted by two miscreants when he was on the way to bank to deposit the money. The duo fired at Prusty and snatched away the money from him, sources said. They fled the spot soon after committing the crime.
An injured Prusty was admitted to hospital in a critical condition. On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation. Efforts were on to identify and nab the culprits.
