RSP labour contractor dies under mysterious circumstances in Odisha

Rourkela: A labour contractor of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was found dead under mysterious circumstances on premises of the plant in Rourkela.

The deceased person has been identified as Ajay Kumar Narayan from Kerala.

The 59-year-old Narayan was residing at Coal Nagar in Rourkela with his family.

According to reports, Narayan, the owner of a private firm dealing in labour contractor services, had visited the cold rolling mill (CRM) department of the RSP for inspection last night. At around 12.30 am, the employees found him dead in a pool of blood following which they informed the department authorities.

The body has been kept in morgue of the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela.

The security department of the RSP has initiated probe to crack death mystery of the labour contractor.

The incident has sparked tension among the workers in labour union of RSP. The workers demanded the plant authorities to reveal the ground reality of the incident.
