Rumours of Salman Khan gifting Ranu Mondal a house go viral

Mumbai: After overnight internet sensation Ranu Mondal recorded her first song for Bollywood singer and music composer Himesh Reshammiya’s project ‘Happy, Hardy and Heer’, rumours on superstar Salman Khan gifting a house to the 59-year-old lady are now doing the rounds on social media.

A few national media houses today reported that Salman Khan has gifted Ranu a house worth Rs 55 lakh in Mumbai. The reports further added that the ‘Dabangg’ star is very much impressed with Ranu’s melodious voice after watching her video that went viral on social media recently. Moreover, it was also reported that actor plans to record a song with her for his upcoming movie ‘Dabangg 3’.

However, sources close to the superstar denied the reports saying that the actor has not done that sort of so far.

Worth mentioning, Ranu, a resident of Ranaghat in West Bengal used to sing at railway stations to earn money for her living. Her life took a U-turn after a Software Engineer, Atindra Chakraborty, recorded a video of her song and uploaded it on social media. No sooner the video went viral on social media, music director Himesh Reshammiya invited her to a singing reality show and later recorded a song ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ with her for his movie ‘Happy, Hardy and Heer’.
