‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ made tax free in Odisha

Odisha Government today declared upcoming Bollywood biopic based on cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar – ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ would be tax free in the state.

State Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera announced this afternoon that the movie ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ will be tax free for audience at theaters across the state as the cricket legend is an inspiration for youth.

“Sachin: A Billion Dreams, the movie based on life of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been declared entertainment tax free as he is an inspiration for youth,” said the Finance Minister.

The movie is based on the life of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and scheduled to be released on May 26.

The flick is a sports biopic written and directed by James Erskine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under the banner 200 NotOut Productions.

The movie captures the legend’s cricket and personal life revealing few aspects of his life never exposed to public.

It will be released in five languages – English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.
