Sambad felicitates Odisha’s meritorious+2 Arts and Commerce students

Bhubaneswar: The meritorious students of +2 arts and Commerce streams were felicitated by Sambad in a glittering ceremony at Jaydev Bhawan in Odisha capital today.

More than 200 students from across the state were lauded for their performance in the +2 examinations this year with certificates of appreciation. Furthermore, 30 farmers’ children from each district of Odisha were also commended at the event.

Khandapara MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik graced the occasion and affirmed that his salary earned as a former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) would be distributed as scholarships and prize money for the education of underprivileged students.

He also presented Rs. 20,000 each in form of cheques to the 30 children of farmers from 30 districts of Odisha. “Parents hold utmost importance in life and therefore, we should never forget them or the sacrifices they made to bring us up. One should always be humble and grateful in nature. Humility goes a long way in life,” he advised the gathering of students.
