Sambad Group organizes ‘Brands of Odisha. Pride of India. : Corporate Excellence Awards 2022’

Bhubaneswar: Sambad Group, Odisha’s No.1 media house, organized the fifth edition of ‘Brands of Odisha. Pride of India. : Sambad Corporate Excellence Awards 2022’ here on Friday.

Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Governor of Odisha, graced the occasion and felicitated successful young entrepreneurs and businesspersons for their outstanding work in respective fields.

In his address, Prof. Lal said, “Odisha is a different kind of State. It is a State of enlightened nationalism. As far as the ‘Brands of Odisha. Pride of India’ is concerned, I presume these brands are ‘local for global’ and innovations from India to the global village. These brands of Odisha are going to be the beauties of the world in the time to come shortly.”

“The need of the hour is a conscious planet. The new world order powered by cooperative economic enterprises is the need of the hour. I congratulate Soumya Ranjan Patnaik to invite such galaxy of intellectuals and continent of persons who are going to make this world a beautiful place,” Prof Lal added.

Tribe Delight Private Limited, MK Plast Pvt Ltd, Ezerx Health Tech Pvt Ltd won the Silver, Gold and Platinum award in emerging/start up category respectively. Kandhamal Apex Spices Association for Marketing (KASAM), JMS Medicon Pvt. Ltd. bagged the Jury Special award in small organisation category.

Orissa Rubber Product, Balasore; Galaxy Medicare Limited, Mannequin Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd won the Silver, Gold and Platinum award in small organization category respectively. SLM Technology Private Limited, Odisha Coal and Power Limited, CSM Technologies bagged the Silver, Gold and Platinum award in medium organization category respectively.

Steel Authority of India Limited, Rourkela Steel Plant won the Platinum award in large organization category. JK Paper Ltd and Hindalco Industries, Hirakud won the Gold and Platinum award in CSR category respectively.

Gemini Edibles & Fats India Ltd won the Chief Patron Award. Frozit Division of OM Oil & Flour Mill and Gargson Automobile Pvt Ltd won the Young Entrepreneur award.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the function in virtual mode. In a video message, Patnaik thanked the Sambad Group for its consistent effort to recognize and promote local brands. “This is helping us in creating an industry-friendly culture in the State. Being itself a great brand in media and entertainment, the Sambad Group’s efforts to celebrate the State’s own brands is certainly commendable,” Patnaik said.

“Odisha has been known for its great culture and heritage. However, over the last two decades, we have been able to create new identities for the State in many sectors especially in sports and industries. The government’s progressive policy framework has created a favourable ecosystem that nurtures industries in the State. The industrial centre of India will gravitate to Odisha and you all will be part of the glorious journey,” Patnaik said.

Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Chairman of Sambad Group and Member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, said, “In recent past, Odisha has created a niche for itself in term of education and health sectors across the country. At the same time, there is a need for a brand to evolve in the country. Odisha will emerge as a brand and show the direction to other States to follow if we work in that goal.”
