Sambalpur: Tension ran high on Sambalpur University premises today as many students of the varsity ransacked properties on the campus opposing the decision of holding offline examinations amid COVID-19 situation.

The students are demanding to hold the +3 examinations in both online and offline mode for their safety.

As they tried to barge into the Vice-Chancellor's office, police resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse them.

As many as two platoons of police force have been deployed on the campus to avoid any untoward incident.
