Sambalpur: Authorities of the Sambalpur University today suspended Plus III final year examination for Education (honours) subject after question paper was allegedly leaked before the examination scheduled today.

The varsity authorities admitted the allegation and said that action will be taken against those responsible behind the question paper leak incident.

Meanwhile, the rumours of question paper leak in physics subject are also doing the rounds in media.

According to reports, the screenshots of question papers of physics were circulated on WhatsApp late on July 11 night three days before the 6th semester (final year) examination.

However, the university authorities have denied the allegation of question paper leak in physics (hons) subject on various social media platforms before the examination. They termed the incident a 'mischief of some unscrupulous person'.

"We investigated into the allegation of question paper leak in physics subject. It is suspected that a similar copy of the question paper went viral by someone from Bargarh district after completion of the examination. The allegation is an attempt to tarnish reputation of the university," told Dr Rabindra Panigrahi, the Controller of Examinations of Sambalpur University, adding, "the question papers of the university are prepared under tight security at an undisclosed location. And, soft copy is never made before preparation of the question papers."
