Santosh Trophy: Odisha drub Bihar 5-0

Odisha thrashed Bihar by 5-0 goals in the 68^th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy at Paljor stadium at Gangtok on Monday.

Odisha drew first blood in the 6^th minute with team captain and centre forward Sk Mustakim and went on to make it 2-0 after mid-fielder Suresh Kujjur netted the second goal in 33^rd minute.

In the second half, centre forward Niranjan Sardar increased the tally to 3-0 in 51^st minute.

Though the Bihar players tried their best to stop the Odisha forwards, it was in vain as midfielder Sanatan Lohar scored the fourth goal of the match from a long range in the 84^th minute while his mate and striker Arjun Naik completed the rout by scoring in the 92^nd minute.

In the next match, Odisha would take on Chhattisgarh on January 29.
