Sarpanch in Vigilance net over disproportionate assets in Kalahandi

Kalahandi: Vigilance sleuths today raided the residence of the Sarpanch of Rinja Panchayat under Karlamunda block in Kalahandi block on charges of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Separate teams of the anti-graft officials raided Rinja Sarpanch Bhogabanti Sahu’s house at Kusurla and in-law’s house at Takarumala. The raids were conducted under the supervision of Kalahandi Vigilance DSP Satyaban Mahananda.

However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets possessed by the Sarpanch will be ascertained after completion of the search drives.

On July 26,Vigilance had raided the office and houses of Boden Welfare Cooperative Society under Padampur sub-division in Bargarh district over disproportionate assets.
