Bhubaneswar: The term of Satyajit Mohanty as the Chairman of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) came to an end today (August 2).
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department had issued a notification in this regard recently.
“On attaining the age of 62 years, Mohanty shall cease to hold office as Chairman of OPSC with effect from August 2,” said the notification.
Mohanty, a former IPS officer, had been appointed as the OPSC Chairman in February, 2021.
Mohanty had taken voluntary retirement from police service to assume office as OPSC Chairman.
Mohanty, a 1988-batch IPS officer, had worked as the Director General of Fire Services in Odisha and twin-city Police Commissioner during his career in police service.
