SC collegium recommends transfer of two Odisha HC judges

New Delhi/Cuttack: The Supreme Court collegium recommended the transfer of two judges of Orissa High Court to the High Courts of Bombay and Jharkhand.

While Orissa High Court judge Justice Indrajit Mohanty has been recommended to be transferred to the Bombay High Court, Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad has been recommended to be transferred back to the High Court of Jharkhand.

Justice Mohanty and Prasad were among eight high court judges to have been recommended for transfer to different high courts.

Besides, the collegium comprising Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, Justice MB Lokur, Justice Kurian Joseph, Justice AK Sikri and Justice SA Bobde recommended the transfer of the Karnakata High Court judge Justice Raghavendra S Chauhan to High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Similarly, The Punjab and Haryana High Court judge Justice PB Bajanthri has been recommended to be transferred to the High Court of Karnataka. The Gujarat High Court judge Justice AA Kureshi was recommended for transfer to the Bombay High Court.

The Jammu and Kashmir High Court judge Justice Alok Aradhe was recommended for transfer to the Karnataka High Court.

The Rajasthan High Court judge Justice Nirmaljit Kaur was recommended for transfer to the High Court of Punjab & Haryana and the Madras High Court judge Justice Satrughana Pujahari for the High Court of Orissa.
