In a tragic incident, a schoolboy got drowned in river Koel in Rourkela in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

The deceased identified as Binayak Biswal was a student of Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Jagda.

The mishap occurred while Binayak and his friends were taking a bath in the Koel river near the Jhirpani pump house.

Police with the help of fire brigade personnel have fished out the body.

Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the matter.
