School headmaster caught taking bribe in Odisha

Vigilance department sleuths today caught red handed one Pratap Chandra Sethi, headmaster of Danadar Sevashram School in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district for accepting illegal gratification.

Vigilance sources said Sethi was caught while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from Sarojini Nayak, president of Danadar Self Help Group.

Sethi had allegedly demanded Rs 6,000 from Nayak for issuing a cheque of Rs 23,000 in favour of Danadar Self Help Group.

Nayak informed the Vigilance about Sethi’s demand.

Following that the Vigilance laid a trap and Sethi caught red handed by the anti-corruption wing’s sleuths while he was accepting the bribe amount today.
