Narayanpur (Bhadrak): A school headmaster was found hanging from a tree near a canal at Narayanpur village under Dhamnagar police limits in Odisha's Bhadrak district.

The deceased person has been identified as Surendra Panda, headmaster of the BB High School, Brahmanpal.

According to reports, Panda had not returned to his home last night. The locals found him hanging near a canal this morning.

Reports said that the headmaster was to retire after two months.

On receiving information, Dhamnagar police reached the site and recovered the body. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
