School student dies, two others injured after autorickshaw overturns in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Basudevpur: In a tragic incident, one school student died, and two others were injured after an autorickshaw carrying them overturned at Mandari Chhak under Basudevpur police limits in Bhadrak district of Odisha.

The deceased student has been identified as Honey Roul, a Class 6 girl student of Prashant Sishu Vihar School in Basudevpur.

According to reports, around 7-8 students studying in a private school were returning to their homes in an autorickshaw this afternoon. The vehicle overturned near Mandari Chhak after the driver lost control over it.

The locals rescued the students trapped under the vehicle and rushed them to Basudevpur CHC, where one girl student was declared dead.

Two other students injured in the accident were stated to be in critical condition.

Expressing outrage over the incident, the locals staged road blockade by burning tyres disrupting vehicular movement in Basudevpur.
