Angul/Sundargarh: In view of prevalent Heat Wave conditions in Odisha districts for the last few days and pursuant to a School & Mass Education (S&ME) department circular, class timing in all Government, government-aided and private schools of Angul and Sundargarh districts were changed today.

Accordingly, the class timing was rescheduled and the schools up to higher secondary level shall function from 6.30 AM to 10.30 AM with effect from April 8 (Monday) onwards, separate notifications issued in this regard mentioned. The rescheduled timing will remain in force until further order.

It is pertinent to mention, the State government had previously announced that the classes for students from Class I to Class XII in all schools will be held between 7.00 AM and 11.30 AM from April 2.

The IMD regional centre in Bhubaneswar today forecasted no large change in the Maximum (day) temperature during the next 24 hours and a fall by 2°C to 4°C in the subsequent two days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha.
